RGR Landscape worked with the Perkins Eastman team to develop a master plan for a new residential community in Jinan, China that includes a downtown commercial core, a government center, and housing for 75,000 residents. RGR developed the open space plan for the new city, which is organized around two intersecting linear parks that form the central core of the Baishi Yu master plan and the heart of the open space network. The Shun Geng Road Green Park, characterized by a series of paved plazas, formal gardens, and water features, adorns the main entry corridor to the new community. The Luneng Lungxiu Linear Park, oriented perpendicular to Shun Geng Road, includes an outdoor amphitheater, botanical garden, nature study area, children’s environmental play area, an active recreation center, and a combined bike path and pedestrian trail system.
