RGR Landscape designed a linear park that extends more than one-half mile along the Hudson River in Tarrytown, NY. The $4.5M first-phase included a continuous waterfront esplanade for pedestrians, a separate multi-use path for cyclists and joggers, and a unique “eco-corridor” native landscape. The second phase of the project focused on the redesign of Pierson Park and the restoration of Andre Brook, which flows through the park. That work included new tennis and basketball courts, a redesigned commuter parking area for the metro-north train station, picnic area and shelter, playground and splash-park, a performance stage, and a series of grass mounds for concert viewing as well as creative play for children.
