Kraus Enterprises selected RGR Landscape to prepare landscape design drawings and construction documents for a 38-story luxury residential building in Forest Hills, Queens, NY. The landscape design effort included a tenant garden and sitting area at the first-floor level that was built entirely on the underground parking garage roof. The scope of work also included the streetscape along Queens Boulevard and 75th Street as well as a garden and perimeter walkway encircling the building’s health club at the third-floor level. Although the project occupies a relatively small urban site, the planted area is extensive, totaling approximately 20,000 square feet in addition to the paved walkways and sitting areas. The planted spaces feature a lush and diverse palette of deciduous flowering trees, evergreen trees, shrubs, ferns, and perennials that provide a rich assortment of textures, colors, and sizes for this compact urban landscape.
