Retained by Extell Development Company, RGR Landscape provided site planning and landscape design services for the new Hudson Piers waterfront residential project in Yonkers, NY. The project includes seven new residential buildings on approximately 18 acres of land that extends for a half-mile along the Yonkers Hudson River waterfront. RGR designed the streetscape for the site entry and the new Riverside Drive, six building entry courtyards, the waterfront esplanade, and six garage-roof amenity decks, as well as a family play area, waterfront event space, and several waterfront viewing spaces. The outdoor environment comprises six basic landscape types, each with a specific function and design requirements, to provide unique outdoor experiences for each building entry within a unified overall landscape composition.
