RGR Landscape provided site planning and landscape design services for the Nagpur and Guntur campuses of the All-Indian Institute of Medical Sciences expansion project. Each of these campuses includes a new hospital, an academic campus, and a residential community as well as infrastructure and support facilities to serve faculty members, students, and staff. The sites are approximately 150 acres and 185 acres in area respectively. An important aspect of the landscape design effort was to maximize site sustainability, given the client’s intention to achieve a five star Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) for the project. The overall goal for the AIIMS campus landscape design effort was to create tranquil healing environments that would promote wellness and vitality for all users.
