RGR Landscape - Hanoi Open Space Objectives

Case Study

As part of the Perkins Eastman master planning team, RGR Landscape developed an open space plan for the development of the City of Hanoi, Vietnam through the year 2050. The overall goal of the open space and landscape plan was to create a complete and integrated network of streets, parks, natural environments, and cultural landscapes for the city as it grew and developed. The RGR plan provides a ﬂexible framework of design criteria and standards for different categories of open space that will allow the plan to be implemented over time while adhering to the overall vision of Hanoi as a “Green City,” providing ample accessible open space for all the city’s residents and serving as a model of sustainable growth.
